Gun control debate

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Washington D.C.’s ban on handguns is unconstitutional.

There’s always been a fierce debate on gun control in this country, and I have to admit I’m on the side of the right to bear arms. I grew up around guns, my father’s a responsible gun owner and so are many friends. It’s the criminals that get them illegally and reek havoc.

There was in interesting sign during one of the protests that sticks in my mind. It read. “If guns kill people, do pens misspell words?” I think it’s a powerful phrase.

Just something to chew on.
