Murphy the pug
Just call me Dr. Murphy
Yup, that’s right folks, I’m a healer. I went to see my Grandpa today at the hospital. He was so happy to see me. Mommy put me on the bed and he smiled and said, “There’s my Murphy!” I gave him tons of kisses and he gave me a nice massage. Then he tried to convince Mommy that I was HIS dog. I stayed out of it. I laid down next to Grandpa and rested with him. I was so happy to be with him and he couldn’t stop petting me.
Then Grandma took me for a walk down the hall while Mommy did Grandpa’s memory homework with him. I met a lady in the therapy room. She said I was so cute. And then I met another lady in a wheelchair. She couldn’t talk very well but she smiled a big smile when I let her pet me. Then she said “nice dog.” Ok, so I’m a pug, but she’s in rehab so I let it slide.
I gave Grandpa more kisses and love and Mommy told him I’d come back to visit him tomorrow. Mommy said Grandpa seems so at ease when I’m there. That makes me happy. Before we left the hospital, I let another lady pet me. I make all the patients smile. Mommy said this September we’ll take the CGC classes and then I can try out to be a therapy pug. I think I’ve found my calling in life.

Nice Job Murph Man! Pugsley is always the main attraction when we take him visiting at the nursing home. You just reminded me we are due for another visit soon.
