Murphy the pug
He sails through the air with the greatest of ease…
My uncle Manny, Grandma’s pug is pretty agile. He launches from the floor to the couch and can hurdle any human in the way in a single bound. His goal is to get to the back of the couch so he can jump up like a mad dog and bark at any unsuspecting kid, car or bird. And the rule is you shouldn’t drink on the couch, because he misses at times. Auntie learned this the hard way when she was sipping a soda the other day.
Last night he was being his usual maniac self and he was going full speed, ready to hurdle Mommy to get to his spot. Mommy reached out and caught him like a football in midair. It had all the humans laughing their butts off and him, looking quite bewildered as he looked into Mommy’s face instead of his intended target. Grandma laughed and said, “Great catch Sam!” Too funny!
Silly wipper-snapper. I was content to snack on my flossie on Grandpa’s lap. I’m no dummy.
